Media Literacy, Equity, and Justice
Media literacy is central to societies that demand equity for marginalized identities, justice for underserved communities, and belonging for all in search of more inclusive realities. This course explores how media literacy serves as a catalyst to understand one’s voice, advocate for imagined futures, and hold public institutions accountable. We explore how students can become active and impactful media consumers and producers while identifying ways to support communities at the margins of society.
